Note: According to research, Ken has been making knives since 1981. Primarily makes pocket knives with a lockback or front lock mechanism. He won 11 Blade show awards in 7 consecutive years from 2002 to 2008 including 2 best folder awards, one best folder of the year, 3 best handle designs.
Important: We reached out to Ken Steigerwalt about these 2 knives and after showing him images, he mentioned "I made these two knives in the mid 1980s. The blades are 440C, handle frames are Nickel Silver, the handles are Sambar stag."

Condition: 1) Good, noticeable toning / spots to top of blade when closed from poor storage. Fine scratches and wear throughout. Scales very good, if not fine. 2) Very good, with very light noticeable storage and handling wear, fine scratches overall. Also suffers from poor storage, noticeable when folder closed and exposed blade shows toning and spots. One or two minor flaking / oxidation spots present to bolsters, as well as some toning and some tarnish throughout. Still, well made KAS knives that need some expert TLC and a great set of KAS knives, worth investing on. Snap open and close.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
