    Large Folding Dirk Knife by Marshes &?Shepherd, Sheffield.
    Circa 1830s-1850. 8-1/2"?long closed, with spear point blade having a full swedge, marked with a spread winged eagle and [Marshes & She]PHERD [Pond]S?WORKS [Shef]FIELD. Beautifully textured stag handle scales with scalloping along the edges, nickel silver guards and shield. Blade somewhat worn, lightly cleaned with scattered pitting. Guards look to have been repaired. Very good.
