    Interesting Silver Mounted Knife and Sheath Marked D.R.G.W.

    Approximately 12-inches overall. 7-inch clip point blade. Ebony grooved handle with silver mounts and pommel - lanyard. Sheath profusely and heavily stocked in silver with floral accents and motifs. Sheath engraved/marked D.R.G.W. on sheath. According to consignor, research lead him to believe this edge weapon could of been used or originated with the famous Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad based on the engraving. An American Class I Railroad company which started around 1870 and ended in 1996 with locations throughout Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. Together with photocopies of internet research done on the markings related to DRGW. Knife has not been researched further.

    Condition: Very good, a great look and feel to this knife. Some scratches to blade. Nick to edge. Sheath with handling wear. Silver with various fine marks, some tarnish. Possibly lightly cleaned at some point to show true form.
