    German Folding Bowie Knife by Herder, Solingen. Having a 6 3/4-inch spearpoint blade with temper line and false back edge. Blade marked: Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn/Solingen-Germany. Reverse with: [trident]/[spade]/Herder/[spade]. Dual quillon German silver locking guard. Flat, German-silver bolsters with button release on left side. Fine ivory or celluloid grip panels held in place with six brass rivets. Blade release lever on back.
    Condition: Very good to fine. Blade with scattered fine scratches and polishing marks. Right bolster having sufficient wear to reveal a hint of brass below. Grips are fine with very light handling wear. Mechanically tight.
