    Edward Barnes & Son Bowie Knife 7" single-edged steel blade with clipped point, stamped on left ricasso "Edward Barnes & Son" with oval German silver crossguard and stamped two piece German silver grip. The lightly sharpened bright blade is faintly etched with eagle, makers name and motto "United States the land of the free and home of the brave". The original leather covered sheath features a 7/8" gold pressed Liberty head surrounded by stars, top mount is German silver, drag is an old well made brass replacement.
