    4-inch slightly curved blade, the left side marked: J. SORNBERGER/SAN JOSE CAL. Black and brown exotic hardwood grip, the back of silver and beautifully engraved floral-geometrical pattern. Sold together with a fine brown leather scabbard with integral belt loop. In ink, below belt loop: SORNBERGER/CUSTOM D.P.S./WENGEWOOD/PROTO 5-82.

    Jim Sornberger is a talented long-time maker located in Volcano, California. He made his first knife in 1970 and specializes in San Francisco-style and collectible straight knives. He has made a wide range of styles using a wide range of materials. He is known for his use of gold quartz, He forges his own Damascus blades and does his own carving and engraving. Jim's knives have won the best in show at California knife shows.

    Condition: Excellent. Scabbard: Excellent with a hint of age wear.
