    Japanese Wakizashi in Bone Mounts Attributed to Masanobu.
    20-inch signed blade with fullers running to within 1-inch of the tip. Two holes in the squared-off tang. Bone tsuba engraved and hand-colored with leaf-pattern border. Multi-piece bone handle incised and hand-colored in foliate designs. Simple brass fuchi. Multi-piece bone saya ornately decorated and hand-colored. An old tag with pencil rubbing of the tang is attached to the sword and reads "Masa Nobu / 1390-1393" though this attribution is unverified at the time of this auction.

    Condition: Good. Blade scratched, stained and with some blemishes. Habaki loose as is tsuba. Some repair to handle.
