    Description

    Japanese Signed Wakizashi Attributed to Kunisuke. 22 ¼-inch blade. Signed, with one hole in the tang. Lacks tsuba. Decorated fuchi and kashira. Cloth-wrapped handle with tiger menuki on the reverse and non-matching menuki on the obverse side. Leather-wrapped black lacquered saya. The consignor indicates that the Kunisuke is the maker but this is unconfirmed.

    Condition: Very good. Light wear to blade. Cracks in the ray or shark skin. Lacks tsuba as noted. Saya retains 75% leather covering, the remainder scuffed and cracked.
