    Description

    Japanese Aikiuchi Signed by X-Shu Ju Masahiro, Meiji Period. Having an 11 3/4-inch blade, fine ornate brass covered tsuka and saya with die-struck raised vines and hollyhock mon, traces of silver, cord knob missing, double gilt habaki, Pre 1600, signature reads "Soshu Ju Masahiro" from Sogami. Typical export item from Meiji period. There are several generations and it appears to be late Koto, circa 1560. Condition: Very good. The top Kanji has been drilled through for the peg. Minor tiny hair kizu, needs light polish.
