    Description

    German Broadsword.
    42-inches in overall length with a 35-inch double edge blade with a single wide fuller. One side with a panoply of arms and the other side etched FUR GOTT UND VAS VALLERLANDT 1729. Wrought iron guard with pierce designs which unscrew. Dome shaped pommel with wide flat capstan. Wire wrapped grip. Possibly 18th century blade.

    Condition: Good. Blade shows a dark patina with areas of heavy pitting and some cleaning. Grip re-wrapped with copper based material. Other parts of the sword have bright metal. Blade and handle might have been put together. Sword is a bit loose.
