    Description

    Folding Knife by Ted Dowel.
    3-inch polished steel blade. Maroon Micarta grip with circular escutcheon marked: MD. Unique swivel and pivot mechanism on stainless frame within grip. Contained in fine brown leather scabbard with integral belt loop. Maker's mark (MD) to front. This type of knife also known as Funny Folder for which Dowel was also well known.

    Ted Dowel (1929-2012) was a Knifemakers' Guild Founding Member and Past President.
    He was well known for his astounding craftsmanship, wonderful selection of materials, and amazing fit and finish.

    Condition: Fine to excellent with light handling wear and age patina.
