    Fine Persian Scimitar

    Approximately 33-inch curved lightly decorated curved blade with minor gold inlay coverage of typical Persian style on both sides of blade. Makers mark present. About 1-inch at widest point. Damascus blade. Bone handle with decorated floral burst rivets and simple spine. Heavy chiseled steel guard with floral decorations and gold and silver wash features. Leather wrapped sheath with silver-brass gilt mounts.

    Condition: Very good for its age. Moderate handling wear. Gold features very good. Blade appears to have been cleaned at some point. Some nicks to edge. Sheath with moderate wear, scuffs and handling marks. Tarnishing to sheath.
