    Exceptional British Officers' Mameluke Sword Manufactured by William Harvey, Circa 1840-1850. 30" bright, curved blade, each side lavishly engraved with exceptionally detailed floral decoration and panoplies of arms. Obverse engraved "William Harvey Warranted". Gilded-brass, cross-shaped hilt and ivory grips. Plated metal scabbard with gilded-brass drag and mounts. The blade remains quite bright with a few scattered dark spots. Obverse ivory grip with small chips near the hilt. The plating on the scabbard is coated with a light layer of surface rust. A prime example of this beautiful and well-made sword.
