    Description

European Short Sword With Ornate Nickel Silver Hilt. 19 ½" double-edged blade with two narrow unstopped fullers running the length of the blade and reminiscent of the French 1816 artillery short sword. Ornate cast nickel-silver hilt with simple quillon terminating in round balls. Faint decoration on the blade and illegible inscription or maker's information etched or stamped in the twin fullers. Blade smooth with mottled spots and light to moderate pitting. Pommel loose, otherwise an interesting sword in very good condition.
