    Description

    Early 20th Century German Hunting Sword (Hirschfanger). 15 ½-inch single-edged blade lightly etched on either side with hunting scenes. Stag grip with brass pommel cap and clamshell guard. Three brass acorns adorn the obverse grip. No maker's mark visible. Black leather scabbard with brass tip and throat with acorn mounting finial. Lacking the smaller skinning knife.

    Condition: Very good. Blade with mottled dark to gray patina. Blade doesn't quite seat all the way in the scabbard.
