    Description

U.S. Staff and Field Officers' Sword Converted to a Dagger.
Standard Staff and Field officers' blade shorted to 10 ¾-inches and still retaining some of the original acid etching. The knuckle bow has been removed from the hilt and the quillon has been shortened to fashion a small guard. The dagger is housed in a rather crude leather scabbard.

Condition: Good as modified. The blade is somewhat dark from age. The grip and pommel are loose on the tang. The surface of the leather scabbard is crazed and slightly dry.
