    Description

Japanese Tanto Attributed to the Shinto Era. Blade with a thin temper line, measuring approximately 7 ½-inches, 12-inches overall. The handle is attached to the tang via a copper rivet making removal of the handle impossible to determine if the blade is signed. Black lacquered wooden saya, lacking the kozuka. The consignor's tag indicates that this dagger is from the Shinto Era, but this has not been verified.

Condition: Very good. Blade remains bright with a few trivial dark spots.
