Description

Gold-Inlaid Indo-Persian Rams-Head Pommel Khanjar, 20th Century.

An 11-inch slightly curved modern Damascus blade, both sides of the ricasso inlaid with a gold-gilt monogram emblem. The grip terminates in a ramshead pommel. The hilt fittings appear to have been silver-plated, now showing tarnish, and both the grip and scabbard are decorated en suite with raised repoussé-style ornamentation across their surfaces. The scabbard continues the gilt floral theme, completing a lavishly worked presentation. Overall length is 18-inches.

Condition: Excellent with light wear overall, toning and tarnish present. A beautiful modern example.
