    Cutlery Hilt Dagger by Broqua & Scholberg.
    13 1/2-inch spearpoint blade with ricasso marked: BROQUA & SCHOLBERG/[sunburst]. Both sides of blade with etched panels bearing panoply of arms. Coiled serpent motif guard. Polished brass ferrule. Cutlery hilt of woven-rope motif. Broqua & Scholberg was a late 19th century retailer of edged weapons and firearms in Montevideo, Uruguay. Examples with their SOL (sunburst) marking are considered to be collectible and rare.

    Condition: Very good. Blade with age wear and areas of heavy pitting near the tip. Fit to grip slightly imperfect, possibly re-assembled.
