    Description

    Continental Cavalry Sword With Helmet Pommel, Circa 19th Century.
    31 ¾-inch single-edge, curved blade with wide fullers on either side running to within 5-inches of the tip. Clipped point. Blade with some light engraving including a sun, panoply of arms and other simple floral motifs. Some of the gilt accents remain. Gilded brass hilt with "D" guard and helmet pommel. Grooved wood grip lacking the leather covering and wire wrap. No scabbard.

    Condition: Good. Hilt a bit loose on the blade; blade with old black stains and some light surface rust. Tip slightly dulled.
