    Lot of Three U.S. Socket Bayonets. Includes: 1) Model 1873 trapdoor Springfield bayonet in a Pennsylvania National Guard scabbard. The blade is nice and retains the majority of the blue finish; the socket has some uniform surface rust. The metal scabbard is undented but has worn to a brown finish. 2) Model 1816 socket bayonet and scabbard. The bayonet is marked "US" and displays an overall brown patina. 3) Model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield bayonet and scabbard. The blued blade is marked "US" and with the exception of some trivial surface rust is in excellent condition. The scabbard is covered in old surface rust but not dented. Accompanied by a brown leather frog of unknown origin.
