    Antique English Clip-Point Bowie Knife by George Wostenholm & Son, Washington Works, Sheffield. Having a 7 ¼-inch clip-point blade, the left side marked: G. Wostenholm & Son/Washington Works./I*XL/The Real I*XL Knife [on riband]/The Hunter's Companion. Ricasso with image of a mounted soldier with a plumed bicorn. Flat German silver crossguard of ovoid form. German silver hilt with integral ferrule and rounded pommel. Mother-of-pearl grip scales held by four German silver rivets. Vacant German silver escutcheon on left scale. Contained in later period associated brown leather scabbard with single belt loop held in place with peened copper rivets. Condition: Very good. Blade lightly polished and showing fine pitting present. Hilt excellent. Scabbard with light wear and marks.
