    Ancient Middle Eastern Luristan Bronze Pommel Short Sword - Dagger, Double Ear.

    Well-formed dagger measures 16-inches in overall length, with a 10 1/2-inch tapering blade. The flanged hilt has thumb rest style guard and terminates in the highly distinctive double-eared pommel. The bronzes of Lorestan (or Luristan according to sources) are bronze sculptures from the beginning of the Iron Age that were found in large numbers in the province of Lorestan, in the Middle East. These type of designs are sometimes referred to as elite warrior weapons as they are found in graves of elite warriors.

    Condition: Very good. Handling wear and light surface imperfections from age. Some nicks to blade edges. Overall green patina.
