    Description

    Ames U.S. Model 1860 Naval Cutlass.
    26-inch slightly curved, bright blade with wide fullers extending to within 7-inches of the point. Stamped 1861 on the obverse side of the blade and with a faint Ames logo on the reverse side. Solid brass half guard. Inside guard stamped "M / 650". Leather wrapped grip. Leather scabbard with brass stud for attachment to a frog. Scabbard likewise stamped "M / 650".

    Condition: About very good. Areas of loss to the leather wrapping, and wire completely missing. Leather scabbard cracked and dry and lacking tip. The sword won't completely seat in the scabbard.
