    Description

American Officer's Eaglehead Straight Sword C. 1830. 30 1/2" blade with the fuller running open to the tip. Blade excellent retaining 70% of the gilt on the engraved military and floral decoration and 80% of the fire blue. Just one small area near the tip with some old surface rust and very light pitting, no nicks. Faceted reverse P guard with disc quillon, large crested eaglehead. Brown carved bone grip about perfect with a 3/8" round faced ferrule at the base. Nice sword.

From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
