    A Good Complete Edo Period Yoroi with Heavy 64 Plate Myochin Kabuto and Excellent Myochin Style Menpo.

    The kabuto of great weight, finely constructed of 64 rib plates, unsigned with 3 lame shakuro of Muromachi style fukegashi. Iron mabizashi. The menpo of excellent quality of hinged nose and pierced ear protection. Nodawa of 2 lames. Brown lacquer shoulder boards of 6 lames. lacquered iron do. brown lacquered kote, brown haidate en suite, brown lacquered sunate en suite with kote. Condition of the helmet showing great age and considerable corrosion. Tehan of gilt copper, menpo showing patination throughout. Condition of lacquer rates very good for an armor of this age and period. A few laces detached as expected with Japanese armor in general. Once properly set up, this armor will present extremely well and complement any collection of Japanese armor. Comes in original iron mounted box.
