Printed in black with red initials, marginalia, and opening lines. Original white pigskin by W. H. Smith & Sons, Ltd.; spine stamped in gilt with seven raised bands. Edges rough-trimmed. Some wear to edges, hinges, spine bands and corners. Some toning, splotches of faint soiling to boards, most noticeable on rear. Foxing to extreme fore-edges of pages, otherwise clean and bright interior. Near fine. Housed in a custom slipcase.
