    Quarto. Approximately 12.75 x 8.25 inches. [lxiv (out of lxvi)], 184, 181 [sic]-555, 1, 669, [1, blank], [56] pages. With seven (of eight) double-page engraved copperplate maps. This copy lacks the first leaf of text (page [i]), but has the "Mind of the Front" leaf (heavily chipped with loss; mounted), and also lacks pages 455-456 and 277-280. The title-page with Raleigh's portrait is bound out of sequence before page 1. Full period vellum. Recased. Joints tearing (yet still quite solid), binding rubbed and soiled, many leaves with marginal repairs (some with loss), some wear and soiling to text and maps.
