    Howard Carter (and A. C. Mace, Volume One only). The Tomb of Tut-Ankh-Amen. London: Cassell and Co., 1923-1933. First edition, married set, with first volume apparently supplied. Three volumes, large octavo (9.25 x 6.25 inches; 233 x 160 mm.). xxiii, [1, blank], 231, [1, colophon]; xxxiv, 277, [1, colophon]; xvi, 247, [1] pages; photographic frontispieces and numerous plates by Harry Burton inserted throughout. Publisher's yellowish-brown cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt, beetle devices stamped in gilt and black on the front boards. Bindings lightly rubbed; edges lightly worn. Page edges stained and lightly foxed. Volume Two backstrip faintly stained (approximately two inches by one half inch, over some gilt lettering) with previous owner's signature and front hinge repair. Very good overall. Housed together in a custom slipcase. From the Collection of Daniel J. King.
