    Contemporary calf, with heavy wear to edges, rebacked with gilt title on red label. Old owners signature in ink "John Hutchinson". Some light dampstains to outer margin and corners, few minor ink stains. From the Krown & Spellman Collection.

    "Spelman's best known work, which was perhaps the first systematic compilation of church documents. The first volume of the two-part Concilia covered Christianity in Britain until the Norman Conquest (1066) and was published in 1639; the second volume was issued posthumously in 1664."
