    Thirty foldout text pages, including title page. Fifty-two out of fifty-five double page plates on stubs, lacking plates 44, 45, and 49. Bookplate on front pastedown. An interestingly designed French book on military plans and strategy. From the library of John Carroll Collins.

    Mottled calf, gilt flower devices and rules on spine, title label missing, gilt designs on board edges, marbled end papers. Boards rubbed and scuffed, front board lightly crazed, two leather divots in spine; pages lightly rippled, bleedthrough from marbling on verso of rear free endpaper, occasional foxing, few minor spots of staining or soiling, dust shadows, light fold and edge wear, light creases and occasional corner bends; else in very good condition.
