    One of twenty copies printed on superfine Japanese royal octavo paper. Two large octavo volumes (approximately 10.25 x 6.5 inches). Illustrated with mezzotint portraits with plates in two states. Beautifully bound by Zaehnsdorf in contemporary full brown levant morocco, covers triple-ruled in gilt, spines ruled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, gilt board edges and turn-ins, red silk-covered endpapers, top edge gilt, others uncut. Spine of volume I has three tiny holes. A handsome, fine set.
