    More Information:

Decremps (1746-1825) was a lawyer and amateur conjurer whose work La Magie Blanche Devoilee published in 1784 exposed the magic of Giovanni Pinetti (1750-1800). Pinetti specialized in magic using automatons. His appearance at London's Haymarket Theater in 1784 was the first time a magician performed in a major hall rather than in a small venue. Even Houdini called him the "greatest magician who ever lived." Decremps' expose of Pinetti's methods however, did not lessen Pinetti's fame, indeed it only increased it. Decremps' fictitious persona, Prof. Jerome Sharp, appeared in a series of works following his Devoilee in which he continued to expose the secrets of stage magic (see: Trevor Hall, Old Conjuring Books, pages 556-558.)

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
