[11], 742, [42] pages. Modern half leather over marbled paper covered boards, five raised spine bands with gilt rules, title, author, year, and floral devices in compartments; new endpapers. Large elaborately engraved angel device on title page, large head-piece design facing verso of title page, head- and tail-pieces, large inhabited initials, and small decorated initials. "Plutarcus" hand written in pen on outer edge of text block. Minor shelf wear to binding, light vertical crease down center of spine from over-opening; small holes and trails from biopredation in margins and text with occasional minor loss to text, larger holes and trails in rear index; few page creases or small corner bends, occasional smudges, soiling, and ink stains, else in very good condition.
