The complete twelve quarto volume set of Junker's in-depth survey and history of the Gîza necropolis. Illustrated. Uniformly bound in modern full black cloth, front cover and spine lettered in gilt. Several volumes with original wrappers bound-in. Small divots to upper edge of boards of volumes two, three, four and eight, otherwise, a fine set. Hermann Junker (1877-1962) was a German archaeologist commonly regarded as one of the foremost experts on Ancient Egyptian burial traditions and monuments.
