Publisher's tan cloth stamped in gilt and green on the spine and front board. Original dust jacket. Front board lightly scratched with tiny scuff at fore edge, small area near bottom corner soiled, slight spine lean, spine darkened, topstain lightly faded. Jacket lightly rubbed with small scratches to rear panel and chipping to extremities. Scant soiling to spine and rear panel. Spine text lightly faded. [and:] A Fable. New York: Random House, [1954]. First edition. Publisher's burgandy cloth. Original dust jacket. Boards somewhat bowed, pastedowns slightly discolored, bottom edge stained, topstain faded. Jacket spine darkened, edges worn with some minor chipping. Both volumes Very Good.
