[viii], 315, [1, blank]; [iv], 322, [1, ads], [1, blank] pages with sixteen-page publisher's catalog, dated April 1856, inserted at rear of first volume. Twentieth-century green quarter-morocco over blue cloth-covered boards, spines in six compartments with five raised bands, red morocco gilt-lettered label, compartments ruled and lettered stamped in gilt, bands tooled; edges rough-trimmed; plain white endpapers, two binder's blanks in first volume. Backstrips dulled, edges rubbed, with light wear to corners and spine ends. Text blocks browning with occasional light soiling throughout. Near fine. Contains six short stories bookended by another ("Leaves from Leah's Diary"). From the KoKo Collection.
