    More Information:

    W. Somerset Maugham. The Razor's Edge. Garden City: Doubleday, Doran & Co., Inc., 1944. The true first edition, one of 750 signed copies. This is copy number 681. Octavo. [vi], 343, [3, blank] pages. Publisher's full brick-red buckram over beveled boards, front board stamped in blind, spine stamped in gilt, black gilt morocco lettering label on spine. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Spine sunned; some rubbing to spine; some minor thumbsoiling to spine and boards; hinges toned. Still, a near fine copy, lacking the glassine or slipcase (which is fairly common with this title). This American signed, limited edition precedes the American trade edition by a few days, and the English edition by several months, and so is the true first edition.  From the James C. Seacrest Collection.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
