Signed by the author as "Bill Kinsella," additionally signed by the lead actor in the film adaptation, Kevin Costner, both to the title page. Octavo. 265, [1, blank] pages. Publisher's gray paper over boards stamped in copper, backed in cream cloth, spine stamped in copper; original illustrated dust jacket designed by Wendell Minor. Minor edgewear, foot of spine just pushed. Green endpapers. Internally clean and tight, all edges trimmed; top edge lightly toned. Dust jacket unclipped ($11.95); minor edgewear, creased along spine fold at back panel. Near fine or better.Source material for the 1989 film, Field of Dreams, directed by Phil Alden Robinson and starring Kevin Costner, Amy Madigan, James Earl Jones, and Burt Lancaster (in his final film role). The film was a critical and commercial success, garnering three Academy Award nominations. It was selected in 2017 for preservation by the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.
