First edition, first issue, with printed price of 900 francs on the rear wrappers; signed by the author and dated March 1957 on the first blank of Volume I. Two sixteenmo volumes (7 x 4.5 inches; 178 x 114 mm.). [6], 7-188, [1, blank], [1, imprint] pages; [8], 9-223, [1, imprint] pages. Original wrappers. Spines toned and creased; some wear and short tears to joints; light chipping to joints; some edgewear to wrappers; wrappers toned with occasional thumbsoiling. Both volumes very slightly skewed (volume II a bit more skewed). Still, a very good copy of this fragile item. Housed in later quarter blue morocco clamshell case. From the James C.     More Information: Source material for the 1962 Stanley Kubrick film starring Peter Sellers, James Mason, Shelley Winters and Sue Lyon as Lolita.
