Two engraved title pages and fourteen large hand-colored engravings (out of forty-eight). One blank leaf between each plate, even the missing ones. Plates present: First part: III, IV, V, VI, VII, XII, XVII, XVIII, XIX, XXII. Second part: II, V, XII, XXIII. Stunning images of the "Gate of the Loll-Baug at Fyzabad", "The Water-Fall at Puppanassum", "Cannoge on the River Ganges", "Punj Mahalla Gate", "Rope Bridge at Sirinagur", "Lucnow", "View of Mutura", "Ryacotta", "Ashes of Ravana", and several more. Half red morocco over patterned cloth covered heavy boards, gilt rules on covers, seven raised spine bands with extra gilt floral designs in compartments; "Daniell's Oriental Scenery" and the numbers "3" and "4" in gilt on spine, all edges gilt. Boards rubbed, scuffed, and lightly soiled, corner and edge bumps, joints cracked, spine cover tears, front cover coming loose; front hinge cracked, foxing to endpapers and blank leaves, image off-set on pages facing plates, small edge tears, border smudges, several loose plates; else a nice, although incomplete, gathering of plates in a heavy binding.
