Richard F[rancis]. Burton. Sind Revisited. With Notices of the Anglo-Indian Army; Railroads; Past, Present, and Future, Etc. London: Richard Bentley and Son, 1877. First edition. Two volumes. Octavo. xii, 343, [1, blank]; iv, 331, [1, blank] pages. Original mauve-brown publisher's cloth; front and spine stamped in black; rear stamped in blind; gilt lettering and decoration on spine. Coated navy blue endpapers. Both spines slightly skewed. Wear to cloth at edges, corners, hinges and spine ends; mild rubbing to cloth; partially effaced penciling to rear board of second volume. Edges of text block toned, spotted; top edge dust soiled. Three hinges splitting, but both bindings still sound. Mild, scattered foxing throughout; rough opening through some sections of text; two or three pairs of leaves in second volume unopened at fore-edge. Chunk out of fore-edge of pages 95-96 in first volume; cut marks to final leaf. Pages 209-212, 339-342 of first volume and pages 255-256 of second volume cut out with stubs visible. Two small labels reading "29" affixed to each front pastedown. About very good. Burton took leave from his consular posting in Trieste and "[in] December 1875 he and Isabel sailed for India, a journey that he recorded in Sind Revisited (2 vols., 1877)"--DNB. Penzer, pp. 94-95.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
