One work in two octavo volumes. First volume frontispiece of "Valparaiso", second volume frontispiece of "The Valley of Fatawa, Taheite" and twenty-four in-text engravings. Very good.

xiii, [3], 432: ix, [1], 415 pages. Publisher's blue blind stamped boards with gilt titles on spines, two different styles of Richard Bentley catalog endpapers. Boards soiled and lightly rubbed, small edge and corner bumps; holograph pencil bookseller's annotation on verso of first front free endpaper, few other pencil marks on endpapers, gathering "O" in volume two coming loose from binding, leaf O6 trimmed and mounted on a stub, pages with edge wear, few small edge tears, creases along inner margins, some foxing and browning, heavier on frontispiece plates and adjacent pages; otherwise in very good condition.
