London: Henry Colburn, 1839. Third edition. Two octavo volumes. [xxiv], [1, blank], 392 pages; [xii], 415, [1, blank] pages. Two hand-colored lithographic frontispieces, sixteen engraved vignettes. Modern half pebbled leather over marble paper covered boards, gilt titles on spines, all edges speckled. Marbled endpapers. Boards mildly rubbed affecting leather on joints, a touch of wear on joints and edges with a few signs of abrasions. Text block edges and pages lightly toned, front and rear blanks faintly foxed, occasional spots of foxing here and there; frontispieces somewhat foxed, affecting images; ownership signatures on upper margins of title pages, offsetting from frontispieces onto title pages. Dust soiling on page 392 of Volume I; 1.25 inch closed tear on left of "Chart of the Euxine..." Very good.
