    More Information: Wordsworth (1807-1885) bishop of Lincoln, scholar, Biblical commentator, and prolific author. In 1832-3 he travelled in Greece, and was the first Englishman presented to King Otho. He was a keen observer and his conjecture of the site of Dodona was confirmed by Carapanos. His works on Greece and Athens & Attica "are sill books of authority." DNB.
