Quarto (11 x 8.125 inches; 278 x 206 mm.). xvi, 472 pages; limitation leaf on laid paper inserted at front; frontispiece and twenty-three illustrations after A. B. Frost and others, including one by Frederick Remington, mounted to plates and inserted throughout; captioned tissue guards; illustrated chapter headings in brown, tailpieces in black. Publisher's light yellowish-brown cloth, spine and front board lettered and stamped in gilt; top edge gilt, others untrimmed; ribbon marker. Backstrip tanned with some light soiling or dampstaining; boards lightly soiled; spine ends and corners lightly worn; corners softly bumped. Hinges repaired; light discoloration to endpapers from binder's glue; front endpaper lightly soiled; a few leaves with some light staining to the fore-edge margin; two previous owner signatures on the front pastedown. Very good; an attractive repaired copy.
