First edition, limited to 120 total copies of which this is one of 100 illustrated numbered copies on papier de Hollande, numbered 24. Quarto (13.125 x 9.625 inches; 334 x 225 mm.). 91, [5, blank] pages. Two vignette title-pages and ten additional inserted plates. Contemporary three-quarter brown morocco over marbled paper-covered boards, spine tooled in gilt with four raised bands; top edge of text block trimmed and gilt; later endpapers and flyleaves. Fairly light wear at extremities of binding; pale soiling at spine; narrow strip of paper torn away at front board. Previous owner bookplate at front pastedown, with another at preliminary blank between vignette title-pages. Text block softly dulled with age; occasional faint, marginal smudging scattered throughout interior. Very good.
