Another excellent collection of articles and information about the state of Texas, its industry, and opportunities. This issue contains Information for Immigrants, How to Select a Home in Texas, What Immigrants Should Bring with Them, How to Come to Texas, Stock-raising in Western Texas (which mentions the King and Kennedy ranches), Classification of Hides, Distribution of Cattle, Sheep Husbandry, and much more. Also included is a great deal of information about stage lines and the rapidly developing railroad transportation system, which features an excellent railroad map, as well as detailed information about the numerous counties in the state. Penned notation on front cover "Yale College Library."
