Small octavo (7.25 x 4.75 inches; 184 x 120 mm.). xii, 124 pages. Frontispiece and plates inserted. Publisher's brick-red cloth, spine stamped in black and gilt. Original price-clipped dust jacket. Cloth spine and corners lightly rubbed; text and endleaves mildly toned; a few gutters overopened; front free endpaper to page x with paperclip indentation at top edge. Dust jacket spine sunned; some edgewear, chipping and several tears to dust jacket; some thumbsoiling to jacket. Overall, a near fine copy. Housed in quarter red morocco clamshell case. Besides being an important twentieth-century writer, Paul Bowles was also a composer; he wrote incidental music for several of Williams' plays, including Glass Menagerie. From the James C.
