Quarto (9.75 x 7.5 inches; 247 x 190 mm.). 672 pages. Frontispiece featuring bust of Lawrence; color collotypes, maps and facsimiles printed by the Chiswick Press and photogravures by John Swain and Son; plates and maps inserted throughout. Bound by A.W. Bain in brown buckram-covered boards backed in tan leather; spine lettered in gilt with decorative sword device and single rule to front board; marbled endpapers; top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Corners bumped; edges shelf-worn, mild soil and rubbing to backstrip. An attractive, near fine copy. From the Collection of Daniel J. King.
